About: Are you ready to truly embody the spirit of a Shakespearean love story... with a twist? We're seeking daring, talented actors to join our upcoming production of Romeo & Juliet, where the classic tragedy takes a wildly unpredictable turn.
We're looking for versatile performers with strong acting skills, improv chops, and a genuine love for both the Bard and a good laugh. If you're ready to embrace the challenge of Shakespeare with a comedic edge and join a production that guarantees an unforgettable (and likely silly) theatrical adventure, then we want to see you!
*Note: This performance event will involve drinking. Please do not audition if you are unable or uncomfortable.*
PROLOGUE
Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love,
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children's end, nought could remove,
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.
